Paradise
of Birds (Paraiso de Aves)
This is a 24-mile round-trip boat ride
deep into the mangrove habitat. This estuary system has
been recently protected, though it is less traveled
than the national park. For this reason you will see
numerous large crocodiles on the banks of the estuary.
The Roseate Spoonbills are numerous. Your destination
is Zoquipan, a lagoon where you can listen to an orchestra
of wading birds.

Paraje Del
Rey
A 10-mile round-trip in the El Pozo mangrove estuary,
a habitat to numerous birds. Land at a secluded
island paradise for a delicious seafood lunch and take
a kayak further up the estuary. The trip can be taken
with a master bird guide/naturalist.

La Tovara Jungle
Boat Tour
An 8-mile round-trip boat tour in a national park where
you will see birds, turtles, iguanas and crocodiles. Visit
a wildlife refuge and crocodile breeding facility. Your
boat guide is very knowledgeable about the numerous bird
species in this habitat. The trip can also be taken with
a master bird guide/naturalist.
