ITINERARY: Jungle Discovery Hikes

These are educational hikes with a naturalist guide who grew up in this habitat.

Jungle Discovery
Explore a piece of Nayarit's vast jungle. This is an educational trek into the ancient jungle, to learn about the botanical woders and animals in the jungle, and see a giant White Fig tree. You will see tropical and migratory birds and petroglyphs. Aproximately 4 hours.

You are lost in the jungle. How do you survive? We are looking for volunteers for a dry-run of this new program. Please contact us for information. During this trip you will learn how to use medicinal plants and tools you create in nature. You will also see tropical and migratory birds and petroglyphs. Aproximately 6 hours.

Group Size

Up to 6 people. Additional vehicle (taxi) may be hired for the group if needed.

The trips we recommend are on private property and require reserving a trip with a guide.

2. GOING WITH A GUIDE

Are Reservations Required? Yes.
Where to Meet Your Guide: Hotel Posada Carey, H Batallón No 104 (2 1/2 blocks south of the plaza), or other location.
Meeting Time: 8:00 am breakfast
Departure Time: 9:00 am
Retrun Time: This tip is aproximately 5 hours total.
Schedule Notes: Please meet for orientation the day before.

A note about Motion Sickness:
Before traveling, eat a light breakfast, or crackers, and stay away from greasy foods. If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication prescribed by your doctor, taken as directed. Try your medication the day before you travel to make sure it does not effect you adversely.
